Meeting location: Municipal Parking lot on Main Street beside the Olympic Hockey Rinks

Parking cost is $1 per hour, or $8.00 for the day.
Alternatively, you can park at the Cold Brook Plaza on Route 86 heading towards Saranac Lake.  It is about 3 kms from the town of Lake Placid, and the parking is free. In any case, the meeting point for the CCB cycle will be at the Municipal Lot on Main Street.

Ride Start time: 10:00 AM

Cycling Route: We will cycle the Ironman USA cycle course.  The official Ironman bike is 180 kms, but we will do half (90 kms).  Maps will be provided.

Optional add-on cycle: some CCBers will do the Whiteface climb in the late afternoon.  The plan is to be at the gate at 6:00 PM. Details to follow at the ride start.

Other activities: The Ironman Race is on Sunday, and there are many activities over the weekend for you to enjoy, as follows:

  • 7:00 am-10:00 am – Practice Swim: Gatorade Bag Check-in, Mirror Lake.  Representatives from Gatorade will be on hand to watch your gear and to give away Gatorade products.
  • 7:30 am-9:30 am – Free pancake breakfast hosted by North Country Ministries at the Olympic Speedskating Oval.
  • 9:00 am-5:00 pm – N.A. Sports Official Merchandise store open at Olympic Speedskating Oval.
  • 10:00 am-4:30 pm – Ford Ironman USA Marketplace at the Olympic Speedskating Oval open.
  • 9:30 am- 4:30 pm – Race Day Café open.

  • 6:50 am – Pro Race starts
  • 7:00 am – Age-Group Race starts.
  • 9:20 am – Swim course closes
  • 5:30 pm – 2nd lap of bike course closes.
  • 10:00- 12 midnight – Ford Ironman finish party.  Come out and cheer the final finishers.  Sponsors will be throwing out great prizes to the crowd.
  • 12 midnight – Race ends.
  • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm – N.A. Sports Official Merchandise store open at the Olympic Speedskating Oval.
  • 5:00 am – 9:0020pm – Race Day Café open.
