Yes, the D&C Plattsburgh starts in Alburgh, at the Alburgh High School located at 14 North Main Street, Alburgh, Vermont. To get to this place, you drive as before, ie in the direction of old starting point in Lacolle. When entering the village, you need to turn right onto the 202 / Richelieu. Past the Richelieu river, you will need to turn right onto the 225 / 3rd Concession

Why all this trouble? Last year, we waited for more than 1 hour on our bikes at the Lacolle border. In order to avoid this, we have decided to drive, through the Noyan border crossing, to the Alburgh village which in just after the border and start from the Alburgh high School. Since we will be crossing the border ealier in our cars, the wait should be small and Noyan is also a much smaller border crossing than lacolle.

Another good thing about starting in Alburgh is that we will be avoiding some really bad Quebec roads! For those that still would like to do a 110 km ride, I suggest that you decide, at the start point, of a small addition to the usual lake Champlain ride.
