Hi,
here are the highlights for the coming week. Please note that Tuesday and Thursday night rides now starts at 6:00 PM.
- Tuesday August 5th: Tuesday night ride. The ride now begins at 6:00 pm sharp. The ride leaves from Beaconsfield High School
- Thursday August 7th: Thursday night ride. We have our usual meeting point at Beaconsfield High School (BHS). We also have a second meeting point for the people leaving downtown. The meeting point is at Gadbois Recreational Centre. This centre is right under the bridge of the 15 by the Canal Lachine. Both rides now begins at 6:00 pm sharp.
- Saturday August 9th: 100 km Team Time Trial. To register, send email to Stacey Neale at sj.neale@sympatico.ca. Starting point is in Ste-Justine-De-Newton. See below for details.
- Sunday August 20th: Petite-Caroline - Rougemont. Starting at Antoine-Brossard High School at 8:30 am.

The 100Km TTT is baaaaack!
Whether there are 20 volunteers and 1 team or 1 volunteer and 20 teams, the 100km Team Time Trial is on this year rain or shine!

All CCBers can ride or volunteer for free!
All others must become club members and pay the $35 fee before the race starts

Marshals at busy intersections
Workers at the water station
Drivers to check the course
Time keepers
People to sweep and mark the course before the event.

Why for riders?
Because it is a great challenge to ride 100km as fast as you can and stay together as a group. The time of the third person across the line counts and there is a 5 minute bonus if the forth team member crosses the line within a minute of the team.
Why for volunteers?
It is a great way to participate in a fun club event without breaking a sweat. Also, you get to meet other club members who might not be in your riding group. |
